CycleHarmony: Lipogen PMS-FREE is a new remedy proven effective in reducing PMS symptoms
Check out this recent blog from Cycleharmony.com, which spotlighted Lipogen PMS-FREE for helping women tackle PMS symptoms. Jing’s popular blog offers an oasis of support for women suffering from menstrual cycle problems.
Lipogen PMS-FREE is a new remedy with FDA-approved ingredients (GRAS – Generally Recognized as Safe) that’s been proven effective in reducing PMS symptoms in a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trial.
I used to have terrible PMS. Breast tenderness, sugar cravings, fatigue – you name it. But worst of all were those unexpected anger outbursts and mood swings that wrecked me, ruining my life and relationships.
At the time, it was incredibly difficult to find information to help me make sense of this mysterious and dark phenomenon called “PMS.” And I found precious few remedies to address the “temporary illness” that showed up in my life – uninvited, unannounced, and certainly unwanted – month after month.
Thank goodness that’s changing…
After studying PMS for about a decade, I now have a much better understanding of the causes and makeups of the various PMS symptoms. PMS has gone from a mysterious black box to a fairly common condition that’s manageable through a series of steps women can take to help restore balance in their hormones, cycles, and lives.
And I’ve shared – and continue to share – tips and remedies to help you interpret and solve your own PMS puzzles.
Lipogen PMS-FREE
Today, I want to share an interesting PMS remedy called Lipogen PMS-FREE. So far, it’s intrigued me in the following three ways:
- Unlike many remedies that focus on correcting hormonal imbalances, Lipogen PMS-FREE tackles the structural integrity of the cells;
- Patented Lipogen PMS-FREE was formulated by a biotech firm in Israel with ingredients that have been approved by the FDA as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) – the ingredients of many natural remedies are not FDA approved; and
- It’s been proven effective in reducing PMS symptoms in a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trial – which is rare in the world of nutritional supplements.
First let’s look at the clinical trial, as we like proven remedies with a solid scientific backing.
The Clinical Trial for Lipogen PMS-FREE
The clinical trial was conducted in Germany in 2017. 40 women aged 18-45 with a diagnosis of PMS were assigned to take either Lipogen PMS-FREE or a matching placebo during 3 treatment cycles.
They provided daily records of their specific PMS symptoms, in terms of severity. Their respective stress hormone (cortisol) was also taken and assessed during each cycle.
Researchers then computed the total score for each woman based on her Daily Record of Severity of Problems (DRSP), a well-known questionnaire used to aid diagnosing and evaluating PMS/PMDD.
There were 24 items in the questionnaire, including physical (e.g., breast tenderness, headache or weight gain), as well as psychological symptoms (such as depression, anxiousness, mood swings, irritability and difficulties in concentration).
The DRSP for each woman was charted daily during the 3 treatment cycles. And the scores of the group taking Lipogen PMS-FREE were compared with those taking the placebo.
At the end of the trial, women who’d taken Lipogen PMS-FREE showed a significant improvement in their PMS symptoms over the 3 treatment cycles, as compared to those who’d taken the placebo.
Specifically, the women who took Lipogen PMS-FREE reported a greater improvement in physical and depressive symptoms, a lower reduction in productivity, and a stronger decrease in the interference with personal relationships.
It’s All About the Lipogen PMS-FREE Formula
Lipogen PMS-FREE contains a formulation of molecules that constitute the main component of the cell membrane.
The special structure of these molecules allows proteins, ions and water to flow in and out of the cells. This fluidity enables the cell membrane to take on different shapes and expand and shrink when necessary.
This unique molecular structure can also help nerve cells function and communicate with one another and regulate nerve impulse conduction.
Taking Lipogen PMS-FREE can help the brain function better throughout the month, which is especially helpful for the week or two before your period, when PMS can strike.
For most women, mood-related symptoms are the most difficult part of PMS. Lipogen PMS-FREE’s ability to improve mood and help manage stress may be why women who took it during the treatment cycles, reported a reduction in a wide range of PMS symptoms.
Who May Benefit from Lipogen PMS-FREE
We now know that certain common factors trigger the onset of PMS, such as nutrition, sleep, and stress (physical, social and emotional). But each woman is different (with various genetic, emotional, social and environmental profiles, and differing sensitivities to hormonal fluctuations).
So when it comes to PMS, there really is no a one-size-fits-all solution. I encourage you to keep an open mind and to experiment to try and find out what works for you. And I believe Lipogen PMS-FREE offers another viable option for you to check out, considering its scientific backing from the clinical trial.
To make an informed evaluation for your own situation, it helps to know the general profile of the women who participated in the study:
- They had regular cycles (25-35 days).
- They didn’t have known allergies to the ingredients in Lipogen PMS-FREE.
- They were not diagnosed with underlying psychiatric disorders (e.g., major depression) or other medical conditions.
- They didn’t practice a strict diet or excessive sport activities.
- They didn’t smoke or work a night shift.
- They were not pregnant or lactating.
And according to the study, they showed significant improvements in their physical and depressive symptoms while taking Lipogen PMS-FREE during the treatment cycles.
